DC as a city is a failure. The feddle govt needs to give most of it back to Maryland, keeping only a small part with govt buildings and no residences — or residents — allowed.
DC used to be a pretty nice place. I lived in the District from 1971 until 1975. It went downhill fast starting in 1973 when DC got…you guessed it…home rule. Believe it or not, Marion Barry was a pretty decent guy (I met him a few times, that’s another story) until he got that taste of power and saw the political and personal benefits of pandering.
This is just a direct dismissing -disssing- of the importance of the coming of Christ and of all things Christian as well.
Never, never, never, ever would you see something like this done on Eid or some other Muslim holiday, would you?
A trendy thing to be doing in these times, or so it seems.
I have lived within an hour of DC my entire life. I doubt I will ever be able to cleanse myself of that stench.
