Ah yes, it’s one of those days where the world just makes sense, the stars align, and everything is as it should be.
The Party of Democracy™ that protects democracy from rightwing attacks on democracy and is all democracy-like is under fire for strengthening democracy by not holding any primary debates for the 2024 election.
Should any Democrats out there be interested in democracy, and there seem to be a few since only 26% of Democrats even want Joe Biden to run again, well that’s just too bad.
And there are a few voices on the left who are not pleased with the situation, like former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard. MORE

She would make a great VP pick for Trump.
Gabbard is an intriguing choice. Whoever it is, I think they should at least be someone slightly unexpected. 🤔
if Trump ran as a democrat this time, and all of the MAGA constituency voted for him, would it be enough to take the dem nomination? would all the dems rally behind biden to keep him out? what if RFK Jr. and other dem primary candidates split the dem primary vote? could he do it? it could potentially deal a death blow to to both halves of the uniparty…

Why would he? The RNC just finalized the debate schedule. Without consulting Trump. They set him up five ways from Sunday every time and it will never change. I think what he’s going to do is skip the debates, and hold rallies the same night.
Perhaps Trump shouldn’t have lobbied for Ronna McDaniel as GOP chair if she was going to fuck him on the debates?

Thing is, Trump is going to look like a pussy when DeSantis dismantles all the third stringers in a debate that he was too afraid to participate in.
DeSantis vs Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Larry Elder, Vivek Ramiswamidingdong, and perhaps fat-boy Christie would be great.
They would try and gang up on DeSantis since he would have the highest status.
There may be some pot-shots at Trump since he didn’t have the balls to show up.

Thing is, debates don’t always move the needle.

Word is he was lobbying the Florida legislature to disallow DeSantis to run & stay governor.
Plus one of the Florida legislature guys works on Trump’s campaign and he had him vote against Desantis vs Disney.

The Dems are betting the GOP will self-destruct in civil war over the nom, resulting in a candidate without strong unified support. The media will line up behind Biden who won’t campaign, or need to. You need to try and keep current, and you are not.
You guys crack me up. You speak of hypothetical match-ups, but seem to forget about the fact that our votes now amount to diddly-squat. Vote for your favorite candidate, vote as hard as you want, but that still won’t affect the pre-determined outcome. The game is rigged, and the house always comes out on top.
