AND
Syria was once a part of the Ottoman Empire run from Istanbul. If the new Sultan Recip Erdogan has his way, it will be again. This is not a prediction. It is a statement of fact. The Turkish annexation of Syria is already underway.
On March 24, 2025, Turkish Erdoğan, commemorating the 110th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Gallipoli in World War I, which ended in a significant Ottoman victory, said:
“Spiritual geography”. This was not some vague, poetic reference. This was a deliberate statement, consistent with those Erdogan has made many times before. It was a reminder. For Erdogan, Turkey is only temporarily confined to its current borders. It has a historic claim to much of the modern Middle East. It ruled these areas before.
WHAT NUMBER CRUSADE IS NEXT?? 8TH?? 9TH??
9th, though really more like 30th
So the Obama/ Clinton plan is complete?
The entire middle east would be far better off if scumbag Wilson had kept his nose and our dead young men out of WW1 and simply allowed the stalemate to end in a ceasefire that preserved ALL of the existing empires of the time including the Ottoman and Russian. No Sykes-Picot, no Israel, no Iraq, none of the calculated BS and political misery the western empires created to secure power and control.
FUCKEM! Cut off their supply of STUFFING and CRANBERRY SAUCE…that should bring those bastards to their knees!
I guess it’s okay to annex neighboring territory into your country if you have a historical claim to it…as long as you’re in NATO.
The Obama/Clinton Plan would put Iran in place as the regional overlord. Persians and Turks don’t generally get along well. Arabs aren’t fond of either of them. The Kurds are in the middle and get beat up by all three, often at the same time, but that could be considered karma for what they did to the Armenians and Assyrians.
Wilson and the League of Nations (peace through sternly worded letters written with furrowed brow) set up just about every conflict we have endured for the past century. They chose to enable regional aggressors, giving up Russia to Lenin, Korea and Manchuria (and later, most of the rest of China) to Hirohito, Libya and Ethiopia to Mussolini, and finally, Sudetenland and the Rhineland to Hitler. Appeasement is the expressway to war.
Bickering over their partition of the Ottoman Empire, they stood by and allowed Ataturk to finish the Armenian, Greek and Assyrian genocide, hamstrung the Greeks from consolidating their positions in Western Anatolia, the French (typically) abandoning the Cappadocians and Armenians in Eastern Anatolia, then brokered the few survivors’ removal to Greece.
Anyway, I doubt very much if Erdogan can ever realize his dream of ruling over a revived Ottoman Empire. Not that rebels and neighbors would turn down Erdogan’s military assistance in more genocide of Christians, Jews and obscure apostate Muslim sects, but they won’t allow themselves to be enslaved again, at least not by the Turks.
I blame Trump. His annex Greenland crusade reawakened visions of empires lost.
Let them. Clearly countries like Syria cannot manage themselves and are begging to be overthrown. Let Turkey absorb them and stabilize the region.
Recip Erdogan has visions of a resurrected Ottoman Empire. That would fulfill the prophecy in Revelation 17. The eighth king is of the seventh that was to come after John wrote Revelation. The five kings that were: 1. Egypt, 2. Assyria, 3. Babylon, 4. Medo-Persia and 5. Greece. The one that is: 6. Rome. That one that will come: 7. Ottoman which officially died in 1923. If Erdogan is successful, the Ottoman would be the resurrected empire which is from the seventh.
