    Remember when Obama’s NASA said their foremost mission was Muslim outreach?

    “When I became the NASA administrator, [Obama] charged me with three things,” NASA head Charles Bolden said in a recent interview with the Middle Eastern news network al-Jazeera. “…; and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”

  14. There was a time when an astronaut was someone who could fix a problem. I am NOT an astronaut, but I can fix this problem. The BoingBoing Starliner capsule is a storage shed. See, I fixed it. Now send up a component which has two extra docking stations to get back to the original setup. Double done. Finally, send up some strippers. Hat Trick.

  15. The DEI component of Boeing is their current problem, but one can bet that their problems lead right to Wall Street. Since 1998 Boeing has paid $ 61 billion in stock buybacks, not R&D and not product development. Boeing has been run by an accountant, not an engineer, for the past 10+ years. In 2023 Boeing eliminated their R&D and product development departments. This has been the Wall Street playbook sucking the life out of American business since the late ’90’s. The hedge funders bought companies and rewarded themselves via stock buybacks, without any investigation by the swamp in DC for self dealing. The husks of what were left of American companies were then shipped to China and Mexico or put into bankruptcy. Boeing is just the latest.

  17. And it is not just Hedge funders, the big investment companies like BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street and Berkshire Hathaway were and are using the same playbook as evident by the DEI nonsense. But look closer and I would bet they are also voting for the companies they control to use operating income and/or profit for stock buybacks or excessive dividend payments and neglecting to invest in the companies’ future. Self dealing and antitrust laws ignored by the SEC and congress who are all bought off by them

  27. Don’t let the numbskulls at NASA off the hook. There are other ways to get Butch and Suni home, but our government can’t ask the Russians, because we’re too busy lobbing missiles at them, and our government is too busy grounding Musk’s rocket for chickenshit reasons. And the head of NASA is too busy kisding Kamala’s ass so he can keep his job if she wins. F—king toady.

    Sure, Boeing is a b pooch-screwing, MIC, DEI clusterfuck, bit the bottom line is that our pathetic government is willing to leave Butch and Suni in space until some undetermined date in 2025, and that is completely unacceptable.

    I know y’all are tired if me saying that PDT needs to call this disaster out, specifically VP Harris, who is head of the National Space Council, so I will stop now. The ball is in your court, PDT.
