U.S. Factory Activity Reflects Exceptionally Strong Economy

CTH: Pontificating economic globalists are stuck between empirical good news and their preferred anti-Trump tariff narrative.  Economic media like the Wall Street Journal are filled with angst, as Trump’s manufacturing MAGAnomics continues to destroy their decades-long talking points and globalist preferences.

The analysis of June factory and manufacturing indicators from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) highlight an expanding reality: increased production, increased new orders, increased employment, and demand outpacing supplies and transportation capacity.  Yes, all of this means the Main Street U.S. economic engine is firing on all cylinders.  We can only imagine what the Q2 numbers will reflect when it’s all rolled up.  more here

  1. Ford Aluminum Trucks are made out of a 5000 series aluminum. A marine grade. Fords scrambling for a domestic source and suddenly they have three competitors. Guess what. GM has an aluminum pick up truck coming out this year using the same aluminum. All three mills are rolling the dice and spooling up. My guess, they’ll ll get contracts. Ain’t America great. In my commodity anyone building military machined parts is about to get over run. A good problem to have. You need to be smart enough to manage it. While Trumps pissing off all our trade partners and the globalists are screaming like they just got their balls caught in a bear trap, remember, we’re the asshole consumers with the limitless credit cards. Who’s the market bitch? We are. Just that simple.

  2. Hey Brad, it’s great to see you back from vacation! Tanned and rested I hope. Getting to aluminum trucks, not sold on them. Steel is good for a lot of stuff, trucks are one of them. I’m pretty hard headed so I could be wrong, but that’s what I’m thinking.

  3. Tariffs sometimes work. The start of the 21st century America let our “partners” raise import taxes on our goods. AndAmerican workers suffered! Don is moving to a “level field”! And American workers are benefiting! After 15 years of taking a knee to our “partners” America is now STANDING TALL!

  4. Tariffs and trade re-negotiations are the only leverage we have. Tell me China the exporter doesn’t want our business, however conditional?
This will last about as long as the artificially lowered price of middle east oil did…
