FOX NEWS Insider- It seems like everyone is mad at Meryl Streep these days.
Streep, who received the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement during the 2017 Golden Globes, used her acceptance speech to criticize President-elect Donald Trump.
In particular, she slammed what she perceives as Trump’s intolerance toward immigrants, warning that it could have dangerous effects.
“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners,” Streep said. “If we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.”
That dig at MMA did not sit well with UFC President Dana White.
“It’s not going to be everybody’s thing. And the last thing in the world I expect is an uppity, 80-year old lady to be in our demographic and love mixed martial arts,” White told TMZ.
He said that Streep, who is actually 67 years old, is “not educated” about all the work that fighters put into their training. MORE

I remember Howard Stern once tore her up for most of a show because she accepted an award with her new fake British accent.

The first time I saw her was the TV miniseries, Holocaust. She played James Woods’ Catholic wife (James was Jewish). Wish that some of James’ intellect and wisdom could have rubbed off on her (for those of you who don’t know James–IQ 170–is Conservative to the bone). It is a GREAT miniseries!
