Georgia woman mistakenly jailed for more than a month after cops confused SpaghettiOs for meth

A Georgia woman was mistakenly jailed for one month after cops confused her SpaghettiOs for meth.

Ashley Gabrielle Huff was first detained on July 2 after officers in Gainesville found a spoon with a dried substance baked onto it inside her car during a routine traffic stop.

The 23-year-old, from Commerce, claimed it was residue from the canned pasta that she liked to eat in the vehicle.

Police, however, believed it to be methamphetamine.

  1. The arresting officer’s report said she was nervous, had sores on her face and a glass pipe on her possession. She also gave a false name and failed to appear at a preliminary hearing.
If this is her mugshot, she looks healthy to me. But she could have ebola for all i know.

  2. Anyone who reads the news has good reason to be nervous when stopped by a police officer. She’s fortunate she was only falsely charged and not shot by that stupid father fugger.

  3. They have test kits in their vehicles. There is NO excuse for this kind of bullshit. Fire the entire police dept. and start over. I hope she sues the city out of existence. Idiots in power need to be weeded out and jailed.

  4. hope she finds a good lawyer. She should sue for false imprisonment or something.

It should have taken no more than a few hours to determine the “mystery spoon substance” as “not meth”.
