  1. I think the umpire crossed a line there regarding any personal animosity that he had to the player. Whether you like or dislike him he still has a responsibility to call the game as fairly as he can. Those were terrible calls!

  2. Let’s get real. That guys team sucked. They’ve already lost. They’re done. And mean while the refs got a date with some young hot snapper, waiting on the fool of a batter to fan out. Call it. LOL

  3. I have umpired quite a few games in my time and always took it seriously and called the best game I could regardless of score or teams or players. It’s a matter of integrity. The teams, players and the game demand nothing less.
    This (ch)ump should be banned.

  5. @ Kcir….did you see the sidelines catch by a Bengals receiver that might not have been a catch? Or did you see the obvious fumble by the Bengals receiver that was ruled incomplete, but the Chiefs had run it back for a touchdown?….It was holding, it was a catch and it was a fumble…..beyond that, if they hadn’t ruled it a hold, the winning field goal would have been from the 42 and Butkner is a damn fine kicker…..

  6. Kcir -.I just read that Cleveburg is about to get screwed again by little Jimmy the truck stop wonder… they want to completely renovate Cle Stadium to the tune of 500mil – to 1 billion Over-Taxed-payer dollars!
(just the cost of a couple of a quarterbacks…)

Yeah… that 22 year old stadium is in suck bad shape!

  7. umpiring at home plate is tough. you have to make a split-second decision of where the ball crosses the plate in a 3-dimensional zone … not where we, the viewers, perceive it to cross into the zone from a vantage point of over (approximately) 400+ feet from home plate.

but …. that last pitch was so far out of the zone, it is highly improbable to have dipped that severely to have crossed the plate in the strike zone.

I’ve umped some & I always tried to call the play, not the player, not the team.
those having little integrity result in a bad umpire … it makes for a bad experience & erodes the fairness of the game.

    the ump was a chump

  8. willysgoatgruff & TRF,

I’m cancelling the NFL Channel now the TB-12 is done & that it is a “tilted” & “Woke” game now more than ever.

I’ll still watch what is FREE on basic cable but I will save $5 a month. I used to keep the channel to watch weekly Re-plays of games that I would not get in my local area. But I’m cutting them now.

    cheers.

  9. Couldn’t tell by the angle on the first pitch but to be rung up on a pitch in the dirt that wasn’t swung at is something to get hot over….and the NCAA apparently has indefinitely suspended obongo’s son who now has to find honest labor as a lobbyist.

  10. It’s just a game.
Equity and fairness has never been guaranteed in life.
Principles of substantial justice aren’t applied at the DOJ, FBI, ATF, DOD, IRS, DHS, Immigration, the Judiciary or any other level in the Federal Government, including the big private bankers of the FED.
If you aren’t pissed off about how government is being run, why would you care about a poor call on a pitch where it has no impact on anything or anyone outside of the “game”.
Confuses the shit out of me.
