UN Angry After Hundreds of Europe-bound Migrants Stopped at Sea, Returned to Libya

CAIRO (AP) — Libya’s coast guard intercepted over 400 Europe-bound migrants off the country’s Mediterranean coast and returned them to the capital of Tripoli over the past 24 hours, the UN migration agency said Sunday.

The International Organization for Migration tweeted that 301 migrants on three boats were intercepted on Saturday and brought back to Tripoli. Another 105 migrants on two boats were intercepted on Sunday.

  1. What is the UN going to do about it without the US military to do it for them?

Everywhere the UN goes you boys have to save their asses and keep them alive.

  2. If Libya used .50 caliber machine guns to sink the boats they wouldn’t come back. The only “problem” is you have to shoot through the passengers to sink the boats.

    Shit happens.

  3. The only reason for their anger, arrangements had been made to house them all in UN headquarters . The. use their plight as a begging tool. The main function of UN is to pay exorbitant salaries to HQ personnel.
