FOX: A university dean resigned after her school doubled down on their ban of Chick-fil-A over its Christian values.
Rider University students voted to bring Chick-fil-A, one of the most popular fast food restaurants in the nation, to their New Jersey campus, but the private university nixed the proposal because of the chain’s perceived “opposition to the LGBTQ+ community.”
Cynthia Newman, the dean of the College of Business at Rider University, said the decision was more than just the students’ desire for waffle fries and chicken sandwiches. For her, it was about Chick-fil-A’s corporate values that the university seemed to denounce — faith and values she personally holds.
“I felt like I had been punched in the stomach when I read that statement,” Newman told Campus Reform. “I’m a very committed Christian and Chick-fil-A’s values — their corporate purpose statement is to glorify God and to be faithful stewards of all that’s entrusted to them and to have a positive influence on everyone who comes into contact with them — and I would say that that mirrors my personal beliefs perfectly. And so I really felt it very personally.”
But Newman said she’s not someone who typically makes a fuss so she reached out to university officials privately asking if they would issue an apology for the offense made in their initial email.
Mention inclusion and I may punch you in the face. Mention diversity too and get a bonus kick in the groin.
Also, it’s a great sandwich.
I grew up in the vicinity of Rider University. It is basically a half step up from community college without the cost savings.
They say you can’t legislate morality. But you can deny it a place in the public square.
I know several buttnuts who work at CFA.
The unity of State and Church knows what’s on your menu….for the salvation of your soul.
I also worked at a small private college, but didn’t stay long after I found my Conservative Christian outlook was frowned upon and I was denied a promotion that was instead given to a secretary with no degree or field experience.
We’ll gladly take that Chik-fil-A here in Eastern Wash. or N. Idaho, the closest one is in Kalispell, Mt., it’s at least a 5 hr. trip from here one way. There is also one in Moscow, Id. but it’s basically for students only since it’s on the campus of the University of Idaho. I went to the one in Kalispell a couple of weeks ago when I was up there delivering flowers. But they are building a brand new Duluth Trading Co. out in the valley, I can hardly wait for it to open.

Put one on the south side of I-90/Canyon Rd exit in Eburg and you would probably have to get in line at Ritzville
Now this is where students should grab the placards and get out in front of the administration and demand a turnaround in their policy. The students pay the bills and this isn’t like they asked the Klan to open a branch office, it’s a decently priced, good food restaurant that doesn’t shove it’s owners social opinions in your face and it’s closed on Sunday to ensure workers get a family day. Get in their offices and in their faces and demand the change.
JD Hasty amen to that, food row in Eburg would never be the same. Right down by the truck stop, I can see it now. Nearly everyone I know going to Seattle stops in Eburg either to pee or to get food at the many fast food places there. Gas is usually way too damned expensive in central Wash. but it’s a fast food heaven.
I’ve had my fill of these demonic Democrats.
inclusion is exclusive
well …… bye
