Just The News: Gov. J.B. Pritzker said schools should treat students not complying with mask mandates as if they’re violating dress codes.
Parents across Illinois are sending their kids to school. Some kids are being suspended for not wearing masks.
The school year has started in some districts and schools are requiring masks, per Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s recent order. He said Tuesday the mask mandate is temporary, but necessary with rising COVID-19 case rates.
“This is a vital part of keeping people safe and healthy across the state,” Pritzker said.
For Marlena and Ben McCoy in Marion, they had their children politely refuse to wear masks Monday, saying it’s not healthy for them to breathe their own air for eight hours a day.
They said at first, administrators at Crab Orchard in Williamson County said to just take the kids home, but the McCoys insisted that if they’re not being disciplined, their children must be in class. The administrators eventually suspended the three children.
An administrator from the district didn’t return messages seeking comment.

The teachers unions created this situation, and have created a nightmare for themselves. Many people will pull their kids out and either go to private school or home school. The public school systems will have to lay off teachers and other staff. Of course, the stupid unions will call strikes, pissing off the parents even more.

Someone is suing this prick over his mask mandate in schools, the response? We’re doing it anyway, we will hold it up in court for as long as we want.
The law isn’t working anymore, and it hasn’t for a while. People need to stand the fuck up and just refuse. Rand Paul is right. I hate these totalitarian pricks are forcing our kids into doing any of the dirty work. Unfortunately the kids are so damn soft these days and will never stand up to authority in any large numbers. My kids are willing to do it and I really wish they would light the spark. They tell me “but I’ll just get in trouble.” I said with who, because certainly not your parents.
I’ve tried to convince them to fake faint, to have the mask slip constantly, to not wear it until someone tells them to and then turn right around and take it off again, or just flat out refuse. I’d be damn proud of them if they got sent home for disobeying this nonsense. Who gives a fuck at this point, school isn’t worth it to suffer like this.
Parents nationwide should gather for a class-action lawsuit for violation of civil rights and must get themselves the best attorneys they can find. While those protests and emails do some good the villains and money-grubbers must be able to visually see mega-lawsuits coming their way with the rights-violators names and faces published and viralized.
