If these were jousting spars (yea, that was my first take) instead of pencils, which of the two is more formidable?
In a jousting match, Vlad would stick his opponent, no matter the dullness of the weapon under his head.
Obama would lift his spar to avoid injury to his opponent, but more importantly, avoid any adamage the image at the tip of his spar.
