FOX: A Utah single father said he was prepared to take out a loan after thieving porch pirates stole $5,000 worth of medication his sick 4-year-old son needs to survive.
Cody Taylor, of Riverdale, Utah, said the three-month supply of medication needed for his son, Austin, was stolen from his doorstep a week before Christmas, FOX13 reported.
The single father was worried insurance would not cover the stolen medication his son, who suffered from stage 5 kidney failure, desperately needed. Austin had a kidney transplant two years ago.
The little boy was born with several birth defects and doctors were afraid Austin would not survive.
“He’s my little miracle. He’s my hero. Because of everything he’s gone through, I can’t complain about life,” Taylor told FOX13. “They (doctors) gave him a 25 percent chance of living three months.”
However, four years later the little boy is still alive.
“He’s so strong and always fighting,” the father said.
Austin takes the medicine for his new kidney so his body would not reject the organ.
The single father said he was notified that he received the package with the medication and was stunned to discover the parcel was gone.
“Usually I expect to see the boxes as I pull up, but there was nothing there,” Taylor said.
The father said he was willing to take out a loan to cover the pricey medication if insurance gave him a hard time. more here
I believe this man will find out about the Christmas Spirit feels like once a few good people read this story. I wish the thief finds out what a down-home ass whuppin’ feels like.
You want to get in front
of one of these people and ask
them why ? Then I snap back to reality.
Dad taught me years ago “You cannot shame the wicked”.
Some people need killin’.
I wonder how the porch pirate would feel if someone stole something valuable or important to him/her off of his porch? I HATE THIEVES!
With security cams and DVRs so available and cheap more people should have them.
They usually put them up after an event like this. Do yerself a favor and do it now if you haven’t already.
Oh, and don’t put up fake cams. They’re easy to spot, especially at night.

How many reading this agree that when the thief is caught he be REQUIRED to donate a kidney?
Only if it’s a healthy kidney, if it’s from a meth head forget it.
5k that’s a felony. I would love to see the shocked look on their face should they be sent to prison for what should have been misdemeanor.
Make it a cautionary tale. Give us their name and prison they are sent to so those who want can buy smokes for the people who turn that pirate’s life into a never ending day after day brutal victim of rape.
This is why I have a PO Box. I have everything shipped to my PO Box even if it goes Fed Ex or UPS, it is shipped to the main PO with my special address, then it gets to my regular PO box at a different branch. Nothing is ever stolen. This is why I have a PO Box, my mail was being stolen, and I once caught the neighbor opening up my mail box and rummaging through my mail. I stopped that real fast. I feel sorry for the child and dad to have to suffer through this. May the thief die in a fire on Xmas day!
There is NOTHING lower than a thief. They are the worse kind of parasite and I would happily offer my endorsement for the death sentence to rid us of these scum.
A lost or stolen package is usually insured by FedEx or UPS.
The only packages we have had stolen were stolen by the friggin Post Office.
A “Porch Guardian” with a shotgun could cure this problem.
