SE: LAYTON — The smell of marijuana landed two men in jail, each booked on 56 counts of unlawful acquisition of a financial transaction card, according to jail documents.
La Quinta Hotel staff reported to Layton police on Thursday, June 16, about the smell of marijuana coming out of a room, according to court documents filed with the Davis County Jail.
When officers arrived they not only could smell the marijuana but once they entered the room they saw in plain sight multiple checkbooks that did not belong to anyone in the room, according to the document. MORE
