Virginia: Governor Blackface Ends Mask Mandate, But There Are Some Odd Provisions

Townhall-

The dominos are falling. We’re inching towards normalcy. It may not be the pace we like but any step in the right direction is a good thing. At the same time, there are still oddities with these restrictions easing up. If you’re living in Virginia, the mask mandate expires at midnight tonight. Those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear a mask unless they’re on public transportation, which makes no sense. At the same time, the social distancing guidelines and indoor capacity caps which were set to expire on June 15 have been moved up to May 28. As for the vaccine passport, Northam doesn’t plan to push for such a plan (via WaPo):

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam said Friday that he would lift the state’s mandate that everyone wear masks indoors to protect against the coronavirus as of midnight, in accordance with new federal guidelines.

Anyone who is fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks indoors or out, except on public transit, in health-care facilities or in congregate settings, as outlined by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Northam’s office said.

“Anyone who is not vaccinated is strongly encouraged to wear masks in all settings,” Northam spokeswoman Alena Yarmosky said. more

  1. This is all by design, they will let up but we don’t go back fully to normal and when there is a case increase with their BS PCR tests they will lockdown again. I just saw Singapore is moving to full lock down again over 24 cases. We have mostly empty please get your FREE covid test sites all over. Meanwhile some states like OR are now requiring businesses to inspect covid cards to allow vaccinated to be unmasked. Not going to stop until people just say enough.

  2. If they had pushed ANY of the proven, inexpensive preventatives and therapeutics, instead of rushing headlong into the jabs, we’d have bern done with this a year ago. But they don’t want a solution, only a transformation.

This is nothing but a tactical retreat. Or a hudna. .

    Don’t bet on it.

What we’re doing is entering Phase II: The establishment of a new normalcy to replace the old one, one where the relationships between people are government regulated, and where the peoples relationship with government becomes one of a subject to a King rather than a citizen to a restricted government.

This is the true purpose of the covid restrictions, and has been all along.

  4. After a full year of this, any reduction in mandates or restrictions, no matter how insignificant, will be perceived as a return to normalcy, even if it never resembles the normal life we all had two years ago.

  5. Lifting the mask sanctions for vaccinated people is a ruse. It is a step toward jab ID’s or digital passports. Two people enter a building without wearing a mask. How do you know which one had the jab? Surely no one would lie about that.

  6. So…..I walk into a store without a mask. “They” ask me if I’ve been “jabbed”. Of course I say yes. How are “they” going to prove otherwise? No jab pass (for now). Can “they” demand I show my jab card? (to me, that’s the same as a jab pass). (and I haven’t had the jab)

  7. “Can “they” demand I show my jab card? ”

Depends on how many people who say they will sue as a HIPPA violation actually do sue, and whether or not the Court sides with them or with those demanding to see the card.

Same goes for employers demanding their employees be vaccinated to work.

One of those can’t buy or sell things without it in the making.

  8. I hate that POS. We have been under his thumb here in VA for over a year with no scientific backing for any of the lies. I swear I could choke him with my bare hands.
