Volvo and Shaguar are both committed to full EV by 2030 or so – and the Volvo ad is for an EV. That said, the Volvo ad is great, and has already received huge positive response.
Also, the answer to who owns it… China. China owns Volvo Cars.
Note that Volvo Trucks has been a separate entity since before 2000, still Swedish. It also owns Mack Trucks and Renault Trucks. Who knew?
volvo used to be a solid ride. had the ’07 xc90 and a 2013 xc90. since China owns them i am out. some dude had a brand new one and jokingly offered me a trade. i asked why, he said that since china owns volvo everything is smaller and plastic in the interior
Great ad. Car, not so much.
I counted 5 separate “woke” themes in this ad as well. Yes, it is more subtle and less in your face than the Jaguar ad, but the agenda exists, nonetheless.

Have you noticed that in 99 and 44/100% of the commercials with biracial couples (which is at least 75% of the commercials that show couples), it is a black man with a white woman? I think I have only seen one commercial with a white man and a black woman.
Well I’d never own either one. What’s so amazing to me is the Jaguar effort is so yesterday. DUDE!!! Where the fuck you been? Did the clown just crawl out of a Target owned cave? For crying out loud. And who approved that very weird imagery? Elon Musk struck again. “Do you guys make cars?”

One final comment about my last post. These advertisers are hell bent on destroying white American culture. As if it never existed. After all, we’re a salad bowl or a melting pot, whatever. You pick the date in American history. From the late 1700 until now we do have our own culture and history. We settled this country. We were responsible for the innovation most of the world has enjoyed. And this is a total bull shit ignorant attempt at erasing the greatest people ever to exist. Fuck them. And no I’m not a racist.
@Brad — I’m not a racist, either. I’m a culture-ist. And it looks like you’re one, too. We regard Western civilization as superior to any others, and it just so happens that Western civ. is predominantly Caucasian.
Does race matter? Sure it does. But nowhere near as much as what culture you were raised in or consciously chose.
