Voters Advance 2 Republicans, No Democrats in Texas Special Election Runoff Race

NTD

Two Texas Republicans will advance to a congressional race following a special election over the weekend, while Texas Democrats acknowledged Sunday they had fallen short.

Republicans Susan Wright, the wife of the late Rep. Ron Wright, and Jake Ellzey advanced in the Sixth Congressional District. Ellzey defeated Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez, who came in No. 3, by about 400 votes for the second runoff spot.

The development will ensure that a Republican will win the seat in the runoff. Nearly two-dozen candidates had been competing to represent the northern Texas district following Ron Wright’s death earlier this year.

“Democrats have come a long way toward competing in Texas but we still have a way to go,” Sanchez said in a statement on Sunday in what appears to be a concession. “Unfortunately, tonight we came up short, and two Republicans will be competing to represent this Congressional district.”

  1. Will it continue when the Democrats settle the boarder jumpers in Texas permanently?

And when the people leaving California start to bring their political views with them?

    I sincerely hope not.

  2. TX is in a weird phase right now. A lot of old GOP strongholds are being gradually taken over by the democrats who use a strategy of running RINOs who appeal to traditional GOP voters but are really just DNC shills.

This happened in my town of Plano, TX. The election this past Saturday had an actual conservative Republican named Lily Bao run against a Bush style RINO named Mike Muns and a far left twat named Ortega. Bao is a first gen escapee from China and a realtor. She wanted to keep the high density housing out of Plano. Muns did the usual RINO thing. He got the local Biden supporting democrats to support him as well as the Police/Firefighters orgs (not the actual police and firefighters mind you, big difference), and he had huge signs all over the place. Bao was personally endorsed by the county sheriff and the county GOP org, both of who know the high density housing will bring in the ghetto thugs just itching to move up from Dallas.

Muns won, because only 20% of people voted and many didn’t pay attention. They just assumed the white guy was the “conservative” and the Asian lady was the liberal. It was just the opposite. Now we’ve got some dipshit shill as mayor. Fortunately, all the conservative council members got re-elected.

  3. Hopefully, the one of the two that wins will be a conservative Republican, and not RINO Republican.
