I can just imagine the returns line at customer service.
AutoNews—
Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the nation’s largest retailer, is jumping into car sales through partnerships with dealership groups, including AutoNation Inc., the nation’s largest new-vehicle retailer.
CarSaver, an online auto retail platform, will launch the program April 1 at about 25 Wal-Mart Supercenters in four markets: Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and Oklahoma City.
Ally Financial is the program’s preferred lender.
CarSaver’s digital platform allows car shoppers to select, finance and insure a vehicle through its website or on a touch-screen kiosk, backed by bilingual auto advisers available by phone. Staffers at CarSaver Centers — set up inside Wal-Mart stores across from checkout lanes and alongside other services, such as vision centers and nail salons — will explain the car-buying program to Wal-Mart customers.
Now I know we are in a car sale bubble for sure.
The average Walmart shopper could not squeeze in that thing even if stripped naked and smeared with Crisco.
Tony R, don’t be so sure. It’s amazing what they can fit onto an electric shopping scooter.
I’m a-gin it.
The average Walmart shopper cant qualify for a loan to buy a stick of chewing gum.
I guarantee you they will be selling BMWs:

Ally Financial is GMAC reborn with taxpayer dollars.
Sam Walton would never partner with that.
So now the land manatee’s and the scooter people are going to use EBT’s for autos? Great.
Tony – – sounds like my party last weekend.
Made in China out of artificial plastic parts!
Demolition derby in the parking lot.
One shopping cart fulla EBTs for me, one GM car for you. “Hey, mister used car salesman, didn’t you used to be the President?”
That one in the pic is perfect for WalMart parking shuttle. Would even fit inside down the aisles…!!
Great! My next Ferrari from Walmart during a blue light special.
Simplified Ordering of Vehicle Options:
“Yeah, I’ll take the ‘primer-gray’ fender option, the rusty rocker panels, along with the tree-log rear bumper option. Also, gimme the four-mismatched t’ars option, with no hubcaps, and throw in one ‘a them cassette players.”
COSTCO sells cars
Seems to me that SAM”S Club (a Wal Mart affiliate) has been doing this for quite some time now. Much like COSTCO and others Wal Mart finally decided to expand their horizons seeing there is a new sheriff in town. I expect that we will see a lot of new ideas and clever inovations floating about once the chains are lifted off this economy by President Trump.
Sears had its own car, the Allstate, modelled after the Kaiser Henry J in the early 50’s.
