WaPost continues poor fact-checking record against Tom Cotton, forced to make second correction

FOX: The Washington Post was again forced to make a correction Thursday after attempting to fact-check Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.

The second correction came this week after the liberal paper’s resident fact-checker, Glenn Kessler, awarded Cotton two Pinocchios last March for predicting convicted terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev would receive a coronavirus stimulus check.

“On March 6 at 10:12am, the Senate voted on an amendment to exclude prisoners—like the Boston Bomber—from getting stimulus checks. Every Democrat voted to send checks to prisoners, and every Republican voted to stop prisoners from getting checks,” Cotton tweeted following the Senate’s passage of the bill that included the checks last year.

It was revealed this week that Tsarnaev had in fact received the stimulus payment when federal officials called for it, and any other funds in his inmate trust account, to be put toward the $101 million he owes the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.  more

  1. Here’s the deal with retractions. People only remember the “offense” the media spews out. When it’s time to retract, no one remembers the accusation in the first place, but believes the accusation and dismisses the retraction. This is all done by design.

  2. All the fiend press trolls know the they can tell a flat out lie to get the latest bullshit argument out to the drunken fat lady democrat taskmasters in the country who harangue family members with crap they heard from outlets like WaPo, and they know the retraction won’t be read by anyone, especially those getting harangued by the drunken fat lady democrat piece of shit in their life.

  3. The Washington Compost is a bunch of traitors. They have been for decades. In the 70’s they were reporting on ongoing submarine operations putting all of us in danger.
