War in the Age of Online Pressure Campaigns

Patriot Retort: I said the other day that the war between Russian and Ukraine is an example of war in the social media age. So it isn’t entirely surprising that it’s our first war in the age of online pressure campaigns since online pressure campaigns are a natural by-product of the social media age.

It’s been fascinating to watch the vapid narcissism of online pressure campaigns being deployed in response to war.

The same breathless dipshits who campaign to get a university to fire a professor for saying something counter to approved thought are now trying to get Russians living in the west fired from their jobs for not condemning Vladimir Putin.

The same hysterics who badger companies to pull their advertising from Fox News are now badgering companies to pull their businesses out of Russia.

And because the people who participate in online pressure campaigns are narcissists with a very narrow view of the world, it doesn’t occur to them that it’s insane to deploy against Russia the same tactics they use against, say, a celebrity who says women don’t have penises.

Yes, my friends, online pressure campaigns have found a new battleground and it’s the oldest battleground in human history.

Take a look at this:

  1. Even though thousands enter our country illegally through Mexico, I never for one femto-second thought about boycotting tequila, avocados, or Chihuahuas…

Why punish myself because dickheaded sacks of shit in charge can’t secure our own borders?

I am so glad I’m not a motherfucking liberal!

  2. That is a photo of Russian Standard Vodka. I spent ten days in Moscow back in October 2008 and every time we were taken out on the town by our hosts, large bottles of Russian Standard were on the table. It seemed to be the most popular vodka everywhere we went. I tried to keep up with the Russian hosts because I didn’t want to look like a wuss. I did pretty good and never got drunk. Can’t say the same for my wife, though.

  3. Wow! The article states that Patricia Arquette wants Russia kicked out of NATO.

Capitol idea. While we’re at it, we need to make the moon Russia free. National Geographic Society? Out of that. BAN RUSSIA FROM USA PRO WOMENS SOCCER. In fact,we should kick Russia out of the North American continent entirely. Dolph Lundgren? Cancel his ass for playing Drago in Rocky IV. Anyone who uses Russian salad dressing is unpatriotic as hell and probably enjoys beef stroganoff….if you know what I mean.

    ¡Ave stultitia!

    ¡Ignorantia in Aeternum!

  4. One of the things that’s sad and funny is that so many people are believing everything the fake news tells them despite not believing their blatant lies for the past 6 yrs.

  5. ONTARIO LCBO pulled the Russian Vodka from the shelves and Idiots were pouring it down the drain on social.

If they had a FUCKING BRAIN, they would have returned it the Government run store, fucked the virtue signalling Ontario Government, and got their money back. Otherwise, they had to go back and re-buy & give the government their money twice.

  6. @Burr Unitard – “…In fact,we should kick Russia out of the North American continent entirely…”

Starting with the city of St. Petersburg – all of you, OUT THE COUNTRY, NOW! We know you’re all commies, don’t think you can hide behind Desantis.

  7. My daughter attends Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. The “starter” orchestra had chosen all Russian composers for the upcoming concert and for a bit of balance in a potentially awkward situation, it was decided the orchestra would perform the Ukranian Anthem. The Chinese students boycotted that decision!! Just a small window of politics without the media angle muddying things.

I’m glad I’m a beer drinker and normally only dealt with The Beer Store when I was up there. The few times I was in the LCBO, it made me sick knowing that I was paying almost double what I would pay in the states, and it ws going to the government.

And the $23 per can of snuff was even worse.

  9. Keep your eye(s) on the ball(s).

And because the people who participate in online pressure campaigns are narcissists

    This.

Everyone (else) should have loudly, and proudly, pointed out how stupid, and evil, the point and shriekers were. The first time they pointed and shrieked. Now those that can’t maf, have proof, after the second (dozen?) pointings and shriekings, by THE EXACT SAME people, that they are stupid and evil.

Don’t ridicule this, the newest, pointing and shrieking. Just to giggle at the absurdity of it. Take the (propaganda) bat to the heads of those doing it. Again. They’ve proven they’re not going to change. They can’t learn from their (deliberate) “mistakes”. They are what they are. And will continue to behave as such. Until stopped. (Physics, not mafs. Maybe.)

  10. ICYMI, progs are all invested in making everything about them. They can’s even wipe their ass without first issuing a statement on the environmental effects of toilet paper. I shit you not, look it up.

This is an opportunity for them to grandstand and other than that they don’t give the first shit about any of it.
