Breitbart-
Thousands of demonstrators in Hong Kong staged a “Thanksgiving” rally on Thursday evening in response to President Donald Trump signing two bills in support of the city’s pro-democracy movement.
Demonstrators took to the streets shortly after the president signed the legislation. Some draped themselves in U.S. flags and expressed gratitude for the administration’s support.
“The rationale for us having this rally is to show our gratitude and thank the U.S Congress and also President Trump for passing the bill,” student Sunny Cheung, 23, told Reuters. “We are really grateful about that and we really appreciate the effort made by Americans who support Hong Kong, who stand with Hong Kong, who do not choose to side with Beijing.”
“I was confident Donald Trump would sign the law because we are fighting for universal freedom. Everyone globally should support that,” another young woman told the news outlet. “But we do want to give thanks to those around the globe that support us, a small city like Hong Kong, we thank them for their attention.” more
We can all learn a lesson from the citizens of Hong Kong. They have the courage to stand and fight in the face of tyranny.
We all shall soon have a similar choice to make. May we find the courage within us to stand with honor, like the citizens of Hong Kong are.
Never ask for Whom the Bell Tolls. It Tolls for Thee.
HKers know freedom which they inherited from decades of British rule, and they know repressive Chinese socialism. They vastly prefer freedom and are willing to go to the wall to keep it.
Bravo, Trump. He instinctively knows that freedom is more valuable than the hurt feelings of the Chinese dictator.
🚨 Liberals (and Lebron James) are outraged tonight, for some reason, and it’s because liberals are always angry and miserable. 🚨
The same moral police officer who earns $24,000 per year and says that he loves the Bill of Rights might be happy to torture if he was paid $100,000 a year.
The Chinese guy singing our National Anthem in the videos did a much better job than most of our people who sing it at the Super Bowl, etc. Goose bumps moment.
God Bless the HKrs. I hope they win their freedom. I hope we win ours back.
