Watchdog group files complaint alleging Florida Democratic Rep. Demings committed ethics violation

Just The News

A watchdog group has filed a complaint to Congress alleging Florida Democratic Rep. Val Demings violated congressional ethics rules by using taxpayer-funded resources for campaign purposes.

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust says Demings used her official Twitter account, with more than 300,000 followers, to direct people to her campaign account, which the conservative-leaning group is calling an “ongoing ethics violation,” according to the Washington Free Beacon.

The complaint to the Office of Congressional Ethics more specifically argues that by using her official account, Demings violated House rules banning the use of taxpayer-funded resources for campaign use.

  1. Show me a Dem pol and I’ll show you an ethics violator. 100%.

That said, using an official socialist media account to point people to your campaign account is mighty small unethical potatoes.

    THAT said, nail her ass.

  2. Given the consistency with which Democrats are found guilty if extralegal activities, it is safe to assume that ethical violations are a way of life.

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks” can be fairly applied to their insincere overacting and cliched protestations when called out. The whole scenario repeats so frequently that stereotypical is far too mild a word for their right out of the playbook repetitions of this kind of behavior.
