On the eve of the Russia-NATO talks over Ukraine, a spanner seems to have been thrown into the works with the Kazakhstan revolt and Russian military intervention that’s followed.
The initial conventional wisdom was that Vladimir Putin has now got his hands full and won’t be invading Ukraine any time soon.
It’s dubious. Seems to me that the 3,000 troops Russia sent are kind of piddly, given the million-strong size of the Russian army. Three thousand troops is about the same size as the U.S. troop count that the U.S. had been keeping inside Afghanistan to prevent the place from becoming a hellhole, back when President Trump was in office. Even the foreign policy establishment, these characters who tell the Bidenites what to think have lately been changing that forecast. I checked Foreign Policy.
The real problem seems to be in Russia’s perception of who started the revolt, which may well lead to Joe Biden, shattering any goodwill Putin may have had in cooperating with NATO on Ukraine, as well as any leverage with Russia that the U.S. might have. If so, thanks a lot, Joe. more here
If biden was behind anything like this it was likely a mistake. Him and his minions couldn’t find their ass with both hands.
Let’s be clear here, Biden’s only involvement in what is going on in any policy is to be dragged out to read a statement off a teleprompter. At this point the man is a meat puppet. He was installed in office as a cipher, a still breathing simulacrum of a man. He likely gets to choose the ice cream flavor he prefers at any given moment.

The short answer, yes. All it took was a couple of gung ho woke troops to get the ball rolling. The people in the surrounding countries all hate Putin, so it doesn’t take much to get things started. One can’t really believe the troop numbers out out commie countries. Putin just wants attention, just like Kim, Xi, Donny was on the list, but fail to make the last cut.

Joe Bite-me killing the US oil industry is having a ripple affect all over the world. It’s giving corrupt governments everywhere cover to do what they have wanted to do. Things are bad in Kazakhstan. My wife is sick with worry about her family over there. The internet will be down for all of January. Food is running short. There is a lot of raping and killing by anarchists and criminals. Everyone is afraid to leave their homes. Gun ownership isn’t a thing over there. Too bad!
