Wa Examiner: West Virginia has completed the first round of coronavirus vaccinations at all 214 long-term care facilities in the state.
“It’s been a tremendous effort, teamwork, setting up the infrastructure and the framework to be able to do this,” Krista Capehart, who helped coordinate the effort, told West Virginia MetroNews.
Capehart, the director of professional regulatory affairs for the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy, said the key was using the two weeks between the time the first vaccine was authorized by the Food and Drug Administration and when the first shots could be provided in West Virginia.
“We felt like we could use that time in a better manner if we used connections in the state and opened it up to all of our pharmacies,” Capehart said. more
Funny how that “backward” state of West Virginia is weeks ahead of the rest of the country…even those “sophisticated” east and west cost states.
My mom, 92 yrs old in a nursing home, gets hers on Monday, we aren’t that far behind here in The People’s Republic of Cali.
…coast…
I hope Cuomo doesn’t have anything to do with nursing homes, he’s done enough damage.
Meanwhile, in Ny, Junkies and politicians come first before the elderly.
My niece is a nurse and doesn’t want the vaccine. One of her coworkers got the vaccine, and now her face is paralyzed.
Truly hope the vaccine is not a sinister one way ticket out.
Whether it is or not, my dose is available to whoever wants it.
Don’t thank me.
God bless you!
