PJM:I was recently in New Jersey, enjoying a Chik-fil-A sandwich, sucking a cup of diet soda pop through a detestable paper straw, and reading about the tenth dead whale to wash up on a Long Island or New Jersey shore when I was blasted with a 50,000-watt bolt of liberal irony.
The pink-haired dime museums on the left canceled plastic straws when one was found in the nose of a living sea turtle, but they haven’t made a peep about the erasure of the whales.
Perhaps the turtle accidentally inhaled the straw. Or maybe the straw was purposely put there by the turtle itself after a raucous night with this turtle: he U.S. Coast Guard found a turtle with $53 million worth of cocaine strapped to it.
Either way, the left pooped their non-binary panties and decided straws had to go. The straw crusaders hit the streets and straw justice was done. more
Right now in Maine Janet Mills and a wind company out of Mass. are trying to shut down lobster fishing areas claiming lobstering is killing Right Whales. Not one single Right Whale has ever been killed or harmed by lobstermen.
They want to build these windmills.
The process of building the base on the floor of the ocean and below the sea bed do kill ocean life. The magnets used to run the windmills do harm whales and dolphins as it interferes with their sonar capabilities.
I don’t think people realize how huge these things really are unless they’ve been out in the midwest where farmland is rented out to the companies to build them. Mr. Beachmom is a Cost Estimator and has done cost studies on these things for other companies. He said just from the surface of the water the windmills are 850 ft tall. That’s an 85 story building! Then there is the underwater structure that varies, depending on the depth of the water and the how far down drilling has to go to secure the base.
