When I was a kid we had a cat that ate pepperoncini peppers. He was a tuxedo cat and we named him Daffy. There was a lot of clover in our lawn that attracted rabbits, he was forever chasing those bunnies. The rabbits treated it like a game.

Jalapenos aren’t really all that hot, they’re about as hot as I will go. Plus it looks like he kinda likes it.

Many years ago, Texas A&M University developed a very mild jalapeno pepper for those who couldn’t take the heat but loved the flavored.

Oddly enough, some kids like hot stuff. My own son would eat peppers that I couldn’t take. He loved them. He would ask for them! And he wasn’t just being a contrarian.
