What Should You Do If Protestors Surround Your Car?

USCCA: Street protests are all too common these days and blocking traffic has become one of the favorite methods of public protest. If you, as a motorist, round a corner and find yourself in the middle of a protest march, or if protestors suddenly surround your car, you need to take action quickly.

Dave Young, founder and director of Arma Training, stresses that immediate action is important, but such action requires forethought and a thorough understanding of the laws of self-defense in your state.

“Most state’s self-defense laws allow you to use reasonable force to defend yourself and your family, but you may not use deadly force unless you are facing an imminent threat of death or great bodily harm,” Young said. “Some prosecutors could see using your car to drive away from a protest as using force, even deadly force. So the first thing you must do is assess the threat level.”

If the protestors are merely blocking your way, you may be able to use a reasonable level of force to get out of the situation, but you must remember that someone who was not at the scene will evaluate your decisions.  MORE

  1. I didn’t notice anyone standing on the freeway. Why would anyone be standin’ on the freeway? If you’re standin’ in the rain you’ll get wet, right? If you’re standin’ on the freeway you’ll get run over, right?

  2. As with all of these recent protests, they take place in shit hole neighborhoods. So the best defense is to avoid the confrontation altogether. Which is fairly easy to do if you avoid shit hole neighborhoods.

  3. Take three rolls of quarters ($60) and put them loose in a container. Close it up and keep it close.

In the event of your car blocked or surrounded, remove the lid and throw the whole container of quarters out the car window. There will be a scramble for the loose change, which should allow you to drive away at your leisure. Plus, you will leave trampled protesters in your wake, and your hands will be completely clean of all culpability.

  4. These repulsive morons absolutely need to be removed from the gene pool ASAP. If I saw someone run them down, I’d absolutely “forget” their license plate and description. And I’d hope all decent people would do the same for me. That will work until these BLM shitbags learn to do this were security cameras exist.

  5. The sad thing is these BLM protesters are Dupes of Soros and other foundations who throw money into these social engineering programs to create chaos.

They thing they’re “stickin’ it to whitey” who’s been oppressing them. In reality they’re cannon fodder in a synthetic conflict, just one step above ISIS recruits.

  6. If they’re surrounding my car, they are a mob, not protestors, and I’m not thinking about line 4, paragraph 3 of statute 2C. Especially if my family is in the car.

Ima run yo ass right over.

  7. @old_oaks:

Good advice, but I WORK in a shithole neighborhood.

Luckily I don’t drive. I did encounter one “no justice, no peace!” Exercise once, but it wasn’t out of control. If I encountered one that was, I would just duck back into the courthouse. Criminal Court is open very late for arraignment every night.

  8. If one intends to drive through the rioters, you better be driving a heavy high-centered vehicle, or otherwise they will turn your vehicle over. If you get so many bodies collected under your drive axles, you are stuck and it is too late. Shoot your way out.

  9. First of all, it’s really unlikely I’m going to be anywhere near shit going down like that. Why would any sensible white person have been driving through that part of Milwaukee? At night????

But if my truck was surrounded by a mob and they’re intent on injuring me, I sure as fuck am not going to end up like Reginald Denny. It’s going to be petal to the metal, I’ll deal with the repercussions. Plus Mr Sig .40 is on standby for any clingers on.

  10. If I am by myself, I put my hand on my gun and give it a little bit of time. If my little girl is with me, not taking a chance; somebody is getting hit.
*And by a little time maybe 10 min. then I go.

  11. Be prepared.
Visualize the types of scenarios that you may encounter. In your mind play though what you would likely do for each scenario.
Being aware of your surroundings and role playing through anticipated scenarios will make you better prepared to survive if you find yourself in a threatening situation.

  12. @TN Volunteer: Just tell the judge that even though you may have been a trifle careless in the handling of your car, there was absolutely no intent to bust those BLM blackheads like a teenager popping zits on Saturday night before the prom.

    Hey, it worked for Hillary…

    😇

  13. Most assume that they will be in the front of the line and be able to drive through. Reality is that you will be unlikely to get that lucky. More likely you will be trapped with cars behind and in front of you.
From experience I can tell you that if they see a firearm they scatter like when a flashlight gets shined on a cockroach work party.

  14. One of my offspring got through the BLM idiots on 274 north of Ferguson last year by about 4 minutes on her way to the airport. Someone heard about them gathering and warned her. By the time she passed thru the area they had not yet filtered to blocking the interstate.

  15. Rachel Corrie was a graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wa. which is probably one of the most useless liberal arts colleges in the whole entire country. If you want a degree in progtard stupidity you send your kid to Evergreen. I wouldn’t send a dog there, they’re that progressive or to say regressive if you have an ounce of brains to know better. I know a young lady who’s related to me who went there and now she works for the State of Wash. marketing marijuana since Wash. stupidly legalized pot a few years ago. Who knew you could go to a progressive college and graduate with a degree to market marijuana? Pass the Dorito’s and other munchies man, I’m wasted away again in Marijuanaville.
