Rep. Cory Mills, the Florida Republican who has in recent months faced allegations of stolen valor, undergoing a secret Islamic conversion, holding weapons contracts with the federal government while serving in Congress, and domestic violence, appears to have leapfrogged into yet another scandal, this time over a luxury apartment in Washington, D.C., where rent exceeds $20,800 per month.

He’s been hanging out with Nancy Mace. LOL
He just keeps getting sketchier and sketchier. You can point to him and argue that there ought to be a subcategory of Florida Man set up especially for people like Mills: Florida Pol.
Perhaps there are responsible folks who rent extravagant residences, but I have never met one.
At first a person might instinctively think his troubles are explained as liberals stirring up shit. It seems that is not the case here.
This is sad. He was the one who went on rescue missions.

@MJA — Yes, Bronze Star if I remember correctly. He had that one big deposit so to speak and than has kept making repeated withdrawals.
What sunk the TEA Party had a great deal to do with backing assholes who are the shittin image of this piece of shit. Oh they are so charismatic. Oh, they are ex military and war heros… to hear them tell it. It was obvious they were little more than rooftop solar panel salesmen, but “Oh, he has the look. He will attract…”.
The guy is a piece of shit and has never been anything but a piece of shit and will never be anything but a piece of shit…
WAKE UP! He is just doing what they all do.
Just another typical politician doing what typical politicians do. R or D don’t make no never mind.
Sounds like he’s been in the habit of puffing up his credentials his whole life, even while some things are legit, and it’s caught up with him.
Drugs?
Transitioning into full blown moonbattery is what that sounds like. I thought he was half ass normal, guess that’s what thinking gets ya.
This is disappointing. I am not in his district, and I am not a single-issue voter, but he’s been consistent in his opposition to funding the Ukraine grift. Which, come to think of it, might be contributing to his “scandal” sheet. I make no excuses for him, but a lot of that stuff could be hype by his Congressional opponents. Thinking of guys like the one whose name rhymes with Scram Scrimshaw.
He appears to have racked up quite a rap sheet in a couple of years, but he did get re-elected last year as a freshman, so maybe he’s doing something right. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment, and wait to see who’s really trying to sandbag him.
Just what we need, another republican vacancy in the house.
The problem is some people look up to republican congress critters thinking they will help save them.
