Wildfires, fueled by strong winds, are destroying Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom is begging President Joe Biden to silence “hurricane-force winds of mis- and disinformation.”
“It breaks my heart as people are suffering and struggling that we’re up against those hurricane force, forces as well,” Newsom said on Friday in a video call with Biden. “I ask you, we’ve got to deal with this misinformation.”
Never mind the actual winds that swept wildfires from the perimeter of Los Angeles to destroy suburban neighborhoods. Still, Newsom expressed concern that “misinformation” could harm Californians. more here
I’ve been reading more than a few political pundits (folks I agree with and respect) proclaiming Newsom’s career as officially over, that there is no way in hell he can recover from such gross mismanagement, even going so far as to say that the entire blue-model is irrevocably damaged.
I don’t believe it. A demonstrable trait all libs have is a short memory.They are nothing if not party loyal, and would vote for the most reprehensible tarnished person imaginable if it meant the ideology survives.

There are two historical disasters that will, unfortunately, serve as object lessons about what happens in the wake of gross mismanagement and memory-holing: Lahaina and Paradise. Where are the investigative stories about either of these fires? The body count for both of those disasters is breath-taking and, yet, no one even talks about them today. No one has been incarcerated for dereliction.

He may not have to. When you are the cause of thousands and thousands of people losing everything there are going to be a significant number who feel they have nothing left to live for. Particularly when the majority of the affected population is as hostile to Christianity as those these Democrats have burned out of house and home. Rich Taylor is right when he says people have short memories. Politicians and celebrities have said and done things that would destroy the rest of us but not them. People have forgotten all the people who took a knee for George Floyd. They’ve already forgiven those who forced toxic vaccines on their children for God’s sake. They will still watch movies and listen to music by people who would love to throw them in camps.
