IJR: President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump skipped the Oscars festivities to honor the nation’s governors, and more importantly, America’s men and women in uniform.

The press reports that there wasn’t any space for ballroom dancing in the State Dining Room unless the dining tables were cleared.

In addition to the Army Chorus being honored, the Marine Band played elegant jazz in the White House foyer, according to White House Pool reports.

The president “missed” out on a passionate speech from Oscar winner Viola Davis, wherein she boasted that actors “are the only profession that celebrates what it means to live a life.”  MORE

  1. Name one actor at the academy of awards who has served this nation rather than their elitist self interest or their wallet.

    I didn’t watch this self aggrandizing display of arrogance, there might have been one or two in the audience, certainly not on stage.

  2. Not all of Hollywood are snowflakes; just the latest couple generations.
    Gene Hackman, Harvey Keitel, James Earl Jones, Kirk Douglas, Clint Eastwood, Dennis Franz, Kris Kristofferson, Chuck Norris, Morgan Freeman, Drew Carey, all served.

  3. Casey Affleck slammed president Trump, in part, for his stance on illegal immigration. Casey recently starred in a film about the US Coast Guard. Does Casey not realize that stopping illegal immigration is one major component of the USCG? He’s either clueless or a fame seeking unprincipled hypocrite.
