I saw Thin Lizzy when they toured with Michael Mendoza, Tommy Aldrige, Scott Gorham, and John Sykes did the vocals. Sounded just like Phil! After they took their bows, Scott Gorham walked right in front of me and I said, “Scott!” He looked at me suprised and then I said, “Thank you!” He extended his hand, we shook, and he said back, “Thank YOU!”
I haven’t washed my hand since. π

I have a friend who is a big fan, when he listens to them the whole neighborhood must get to listen to them. I have a couple Hafler DH 500s bridged to mono and speakerlab four speakers in the basement and he is not allowed near the preamp. Last time he got his paws on that set he damn near damaged the foundation of my home before I got to it.

FWIW, what we know as roots country was brought here by Irish and Scottish immigrants
My grandmother’s cousin was the great tenor John McCormack. Music has always been important to our family.
My father had dozens of albums of Irish music back in the 70βs.
In the 90βs a band had a version (this was 20 years after Thin Lizzy) that my son listened to. I asked myself, βWhere have I heard that song?β
