White House supports 20-week abortion ban bill

NOQ: President Donald Trump is supporting the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Bob Goodlatte, Congressman out of Virginia is one of the primary sponsors.

“Science has proven that at 20 weeks, the baby is more than just tissue or a clump of cells,” Goodlatte said. “Scientific studies into the neurological development of babies have demonstrated that by the second trimester, an unborn child has developed organs and an advanced brain structure. These babies hear music, respond to human voices, and, most importantly, they can feel pain.” read more

  1. This country is deeply divided on some fundamental issues, abortion being one of them. Guns and healthcare also. I don’t see us coming together about these differences. Especially given that the left will not bend on any issue.

  2. Let’s see, the Democraps aver that you are not a human being until after nine months in the womb and the Republicraps say that you are not a human being until after 20 weeks in the womb! The womb is a very dangerous place to be when you are a non-human being according to other human beings!

  3. Every contentious issue boils down to: what is life, what is life worth living, & what is life worth fighting for.
Slavery: they aren’t an equivalent life, therefore cheap labor.
    Abortion: they aren’t a life.
Euthanasia: they aren’t a life worth living.
Illegal immigration: they aren’t an equivalent life (citizen), therefore cheap labor.
Notice how I’ve classified slavery and illegal immigration as the same.
If you took all of the 1800s arguments about slavery and changed the proper nouns and a few adjectives then they are the same discussions we are having now.
What do we do with the ones that were born here? Brought here through no fault of their own? How do we guarantee a path to citizenship once we’ve freed/pardoned them?
We keep having these ancillary and fruitless arguments because we can’t achieve a standard set answer of what is life, what is life worth living, and what is life worth fighting for.
Liberals are constantly trying to redefine everything, including the definition of life, so they can twist the conversations to achieve their selfish goals.
After 6,000 years of civilization on this planet someone somewhere must have had a debate at least once that would have finalized this topic so that no one ever anywhere would have any doubt as to what life is. For crying out loud, Roe vs Wade was predicated on “it’s not a life”.
Talk about a group of science deniers who refuse to acknowledge what is right in front of their faces.
I for one am dancing in my boots KNOWING that President Trump (man I love saying that) will sign this bill as soon as it hits his desk. And on that day I will get totally blitzed in celebration (I rarely drink, my wife calls my Hard Orange Sodas and Angry Orchards kool-aid).
