6. Mrs. R would hide the Christmas presents in our bedroom, including a big bag of tennis balls for Barkley. We were watching TeeVee when he trots into the room dragging the balls along. We gave them to him all at once. He was in dog heaven. Now he’s there for real.

9. We didn’t didn’t have as much fun as the dogs but we had a good day. It was a bit of a milestone birthday, she even got her very own personalized Medicare card, delivered on her birthday. The thoughtfulness of our government is just heartwarming.

Kirby, my 6-month-old border collie’s favorite toy is an old green plastic watering jug that he chases all over my backyard, pushing it up with his nose, throwing it up into the air and just having a grand old time being a dog spaz with that watering jug. And chasing up and down the fence at everybody and their cars going by my house. He also watches jets when they fly overhead. He’s also the bane of my cat’s existence since we got him, but the cat has nasty sharp claws and can hiss real loud giving Kirby the why and what for when Kirby pesters him. So far Finn is winning for the most part before he runs and hides under the couch to get away.
