Granted, some officers may never be involved in a line-of-duty shooting in their entire career. Unfortunately for Officer Mensah, in three separate incidents, he encountered individuals who were armed with deadly weapons:

The whole point of hiring “people of color” is to assign them to the minority neighborhoods (aka “High Crime areas”). By the very nature of the assignment, cops in these areas are bound to have more contact with criminals and be involved in more shootings.
And why are Jay Z and the Jonas brothers sticking their noses in this? Taking orders from Barry?
If JZ don’t like him he can’t be all bad.
Sorry, this does not pass the smell test. There is clearly something more to this story that the officer is not mentioning.
First off, shooting and killing 3 people in 8 years is very very unusual. The vast majority of officers that work the worst areas in the country go their entire career without shooting and killing anyone. Yes, it is possible that these are all good shoots, and he has rotten luck. But minority officers including women are a protected class and will get more benefit of the doubt and wiggle room in these type of investigations than white male officers, I’ve seen it happen many times.
And he did not get suspended because some celebrity complained about him. My guess is that he is still under investigation for the last shoot and during this process, officers are removed from the road. They still get paid, but they don’t suspend them or take their badge and gun, he is leaving something out.
And notice how fast he throws down the race card himself, saying his skin color brought all this shit down on his head.
Well Rich Taylor, until lately that may have been the course of action regarding shootings/deaths in custody; not anymore…now it’s ‘fired AND charged’ before any investigation has been completed, let alone started.
Ok, ok, yep, let’s see. Jay z and Jonas brothers. Ok. I’ll check. Ok.

“Just so you know, he is currently on administrative leave, still with pay, until the DA makes his ruling. So, putting him on suspension doesn’t make any difference as to what his status is. So I would ask you leave him the way it is,” Weber said.
His last shoot prompted the local DA’s office to hire an independent US District Attorney to investigate. He will decide if the officer will ultimately be charged with a crime.
Like I’ve said many times, we should wait for the facts to come out before making a determination.
