Why Do Statues of Fat Black Women Keep Popping Up?

Hot Air-
No, I am not talking about statues celebrating the likes of Letitia James or Stacey Abrams. At least you could understand why the left would want to celebrate these women and try to make them icons.

Rather, I am talking about a truly mysterious trend of Blue cities erecting statues of anonymous women whose only discernible reason for being is the celebration of obese black women as a class of people.

Erecting a statue to celebrate someone’s achievements deserves no criticism, regardless of the subject’s attractiveness. If someone wanted to erect a statue to celebrate Stephen Hawking, who was never noted for his beauty, I would not give it a thought beyond, “Was he really that great a physicist?” I certainly wouldn’t criticize it for its lack of beauty.

But when you erect statues to celebrate a form in itself–and statues of anonymous people are all about the statue, not the subject–one would expect that the form is one that most would appreciate.  more

  1. Taxpayer: I’ll take Bronze Statues for 1000 George.
    Announcer: It’s the daily double!
George: “Who is paying for the statues of fat black women”
    Taxpayer: I am.

  2. Big, fat, black women keep popping up in TV commercials for underwear, too. The problem is, they move and bounce and and undulate and stuff. We’re expected to sit there and watch? Make it stop!

  3. The same reason they’re all over my TV set during commercials. It’s fing ridicules. If you’re a white commercial actor right now you’re probably starving to death. And it’s white people who are responsible. Oh and the interracial couples. I would think have of the black population in this country is sick of it. What a joke.

  4. These statues of less attractive, obese, lower class black Westernized women is like a spit in the eye of normality which is under attack by Marxists. They want the world to know they’ve assumed ownership of the culture and everyone must submit to the “new” standards of beauty and tolerance by their definition.

Marxists see black American women in particular as successfully indoctrinated tools. These statues are similar to a big game hunter putting a prized, stuffed animal head on his wall – bragging rights.

These statues are also a way to propagandizing Marxist doctrine that manipulates lower class black Americans into self destruction. A genocidal strategy that reduces the masses Marxists want to control. Diabolical and evil, but the desired effect of this Marxist narrative has not been accepted by society – not even as a fad.

  6. Many years ago, Beaumont, Texas spent millions building a new expressway through town and called it MLK Parkway. A plaza was built along the expressway and the ‘black community’ was going to raise money to erect a bronze statue of MLK on it. Somehow, the money kept getting stolen and to this day, there is no statue of MLK on the plaza. Somehow, that seems fitting.
