Why you should thank God that Trump is President

MarioMurilloMinistries:

YOU BETTER THANK GOD TRUMP IS PRESIDENT.

Today, as I prayed, a strange and unexpected phrase leapt into my spirit, “Trump is about to have his Winston Churchill moment.” It stunned me because it seemed so inappropriate in the light of current events. This is no time for cheerleading or political grandstanding. We are in lockdown!

Yes, we are in lockdown. Across America, store shelves are as empty as if we were a socialist nation. The empty streets are even eerier than the empty shelves. My hometown of San Francisco will close at midnight tonight and will not open again until April 7th. Citizens are ordered to shelter in place—which is just a frightening euphemism for martial law.

Why should you thank God that Trump is President? How can I go so totally against the grain of political correctness in the face of a viral pandemic? When everyone is clamoring to say we need to stop fighting each other and come together against a common enemy, why would I write something as incendiary as being positive about Trump?

Why? Because I believe something is about to come out of Trump that even his closest friends will find stunning. And, what is that?  Let’s start with the ingredients that will build toward the coming Churchill moment.

He is a New Yorker. I have always loved New Yorkers. My favorite area to preach has always been New York. My preaching doesn’t scare them there. The New York side of Trump is about to make an appearance. That thing that’s in the water that makes the pizza so great, is also in Donald Trump. You want to get something done? Tell a New Yorker it’s impossible. more

  1. On a much smaller and insignificant scale, this new trial PRESIDENT Trump is facing reminds me of the many trials I’ve had to endure the last decade when it comes to God and His role in them as it pertains to me. Many times when I thought I’d reach the end this thought would always hit me. “You think I’ve let you come this far to fail?” Took me a while to figure it out but He was using those hard times to toughen me up for things. Both seen AND unseen. 😉

    PRESIDENT Trump…SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I believe that God is smiling on President Trump snd looking upon him and the American people with his favor. Something is about to happen that we can’t explain in any other way that will change the future of this nation for the better. I also agree with Jerry Manderin above, I too have had many trials and tribulations over the past decade or so and yet here I am still standing and being amazed every time at God’s grace and mercy over my life. Without him I would’ve been a basket case and lost everything but I have more now than I did before I went thru all these things and an increased faith to believe more than I ever have before. Sometimes I feel like Job, who lost everything but gained it all back and more in the end. I know that Job is supposed to be depressing but it’s my favorite book of the Bible since God shows how good he is in the midst of all our trials and tribulations. One of my favorite songs is Job Suite by Michael Card, in the midst of it there is the verse that says Job sat down in the midst of the ashes and waited for the Lord, it is extremely positive because I believe that’s where are right now as a people in the midst of the ashes waiting for the Lord to prove and show himself strong. I am extremely optimistic that this too shall pass and greater days lie ahead of us of which we can’t even fathom yet.

  3. I have been praying for President Trump and his entire family for the last 3-1/2 years. God is listening (as always) and He always helps those who help themselves.
And those people who help themselves and others have continually been American Patriots. No whiners, no snowflakes, just doers.

About New Yorkers… New York produces a strange combination of stupid liberals and very tough people. Trump is one of those tough people.

  4. Trump is exactly the type of leader America needed to get us back to the values that made us great in the first place. Values that too many of us had forgotten or given up on. Trumps lion’s heart of steel and never ending energy and LOVE for this country hasn’t only influenced America but the entire WORLD. If EVER there was the RIGHT person to deal with all this? It is Donald John Trump! GOD BLESS HIM. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  5. This would be a very good time to strike at the criminals who perpetrated the coup. While remaining focused on the management of the virus he can level a death blow to those scum as well. The public will remain transfixed on the plague and the manipulators won’t be able to draw their attention back to protecting the rats.

  6. It is a tribute to our rule of law and democracy that this country will survive. We have seen what liberal politics and illegal immigration can do to America and we need to be finished with it. If Trump was the despot they label him then surely George Soros, Hilary, and even Obama would justly be in Guantanamo! Trump is a BIG man to persevere in the face of all the abuse.

  7. I pray for President Trump everyday, concerning; angelic protect for him, his family, like-minded staff and allies, his eventual salvation, his continued outstanding health, good marriage for him and Melania, his obedience to God by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, increased wealth and prosperity, and confusion and defeat for his enemies

BTW, the article reads like a confession of a repentant NeverTrumper. Kinda sad the pastor has such a late revelation that Donald J. Trump was chosen by The True and Living God to lead this nation through these current perilous times.

Didn’t take me a second of hesitation to know and accept Mr. Trump would be the next President of the United States as he and Melania descended that escalator – I was ecstatic, because it confirmed God had not given up on this country and had a wonderful plan.

I heard no one is perfect a lot, (an excuse for not doing what we should), nobody’s qualified either, now get up and get the job done. Moses didn’t think he was qualified either.

  9. Winston S. Churchill – the Great Man.

I want President Trump to take his place alongside of Churchill. Trump has faced many challenges, just like the PM did. I think he will conquer the Corona thing and all the other challenges he faces.

BTW, that famous photo of a determined Churchill was taken by a photographer (Karch, Karsh?) who snatched the cigar out of the PMs mouth to take the photo. At that moment, Churchill may have been more determined to get his cigar back than anything else.
