Move over Cuomo? Democratic officials facing heat for herding COVID patients into nursing homes

Multiple Democratic officials are facing increasing political pressure due to policies that directed nursing homes to take COVID-positive patients — rules that critics claim drove up the rate of deaths among vulnerable populations in care facilities.
Chief among those politicians is New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is under fire not only for imposing such a policy on New York State last year but for his administration’s subsequent coverup of the true number of COVID deaths among elderly New Yorkers. Listed at just under 9,000 at the end of January, a full accounting of the state’s care facility death toll since then has brought the number up to over 15,000.
Now feeling heat over a similar policy is Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, whose administration last year also directed nursing homes to accommodate patients who were infected with COVID-19.
That state policy said that nursing home residents “with COVID-19 that require hospitalization can and should be discharged back to the facility of residence once they are clinically stable regardless of whether COVID-19 testing is still positive or not.” more
Still, not holding my breath waiting for any justice for MI elderly and their families.
I’d like to see even one local news organization have the guts to run with the Whitmer story. It’s a total blackout.
Pa governor and health dept officials were guilty as well although Mr. Levine TOOK his mom out of nursing home when vivid decision made.

Seems like the Obama lefties are out to take down any competition and this is one of their weapons. Before the election I saw a few Cuomo 2024 bumper stickers. They’ll use this on anyone in their party they want taken out. There is a war in that party, and the far left is winning.
Why aren’t the families of the dead organizing agains’t this? If this was your mom or dad, would you just roll over?

They needed a panicked citizenry (who would gladly surrender their freedoms for safety) in order to achieve their goal of stealing the White House. The only way they could do that was to push the death numbers high enough to cause the panic. They hoped that people would be too overwhelmed by the numbers to be curious about why they were that high. For far too many people, it actually worked.
