Breitbart-

A 98-year-old World War II veteran has had his wish of flying one more time come true.

Jackson Township, Pennsylvania’s, John Wolfe not only served in the military but flew as a commercial pilot, WGAL reported

Thanks to an AARP program called Wish of Lifetime, Wolfe was able to take to the skies on Friday to fly over his hometown.

“I knew my time was running out, and it had to be done,” the veteran told the local station.  more

  1. It’s a disgrace that so many Americans seem so un-thankful for those vets and their families who gave the ultimate effort to keep America free. Just saying. I thank them all for what they have given to me and my family. May God Bless them all.

It amazes me that a lot of people do not like to read history. As long as we can trust that the historian has used reputable sources, there is nothing better to read. It’s much better than novels, IMO, because it’s real or as close to real as possible. History has everything – the good, the bad, the ugly, evil people and good people, wars, peace, inventors, creators, scoundrels, wreckers, bad men and women…heroes and evildoers and everything between. Everything imaginable and everything possible is right there in history.

Novels these days I believe are mostly sick and written by disturbed people.

  3. I got a P-51 ride once. I had perma-grin for at least a week.

Everybody should fly in a fighter warbird at least once in their life.

All I could think of were the 19-year-olds who were flying those birds over Europe protecting our bombers, and how the average 19-year-old today can’t even wipe their ass without having to post it on social media.
