VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KABC) –A woman in Victorville is accused of trying to take a train locomotive for a joy ride in the middle of the night.
The noise he heard was a locomotive’s horn blaring through his Victorville neighborhood early Sunday morning.
“I was mad. I thought it was an engineer waking me up. I hear it all the time but not like that,” he said. MORE

Gee Wally, looks like Diesel Daphne finally found a home… in the local clink. Probably has decent food too!
There is actually a skill needed to move a train. Must have
been around a train before.
Very few people know how to move an engine.
It ain’t easy.
I used to drive trains without wheels… EMD V-20 diesel generator sets tied to the electric grid instead of to traction motors.
Dammit, though, they didn’t have horns.
…..guess she wanted to pull a train of her own.
I don’t know why anyone would do that. She must’ve had a loco motive.
?
She was late for her dinner date at McDonalds and couldn’t get a taxi!
From wiki, but I’m sure you locals know already…
“The racial makeup of Victorville was 56,258 (48.5%) White (28.3% Non-Hispanic White),[7] 19,483 (16.8%) African American, 1,665 (1.4%) Native American, 4,641 (4.0%) Asian, 489 (0.4%) Pacific Islander, 26,036 (22.5%) from other races, and 7,331 (6.3%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 55,359 persons (47.8%).”
She hit that horn, and taggers were scattering like cucarachas.
I probably could not get a train engine to start or move. But back in the day I flew
a Sikorsky CH-54B Helicopter doing heavy lifting operations.
Kinda dangerous. Now I fly rescue air evac helicopter. Much safer.
I found a you tube of the beast.
Let’s see some homeless person move this.

Howeee crap! My son use to run locos in Victorville, CA. Thankful he’s not running them there but he sees enough where he is. Some with the same mentality as that woman.
Had occasion to work in Victorville in the seventies, it was nice then. Drove through in ’12 late at night.
Every hotel had cops in the lot with flashing lights.
Saw a cop in the Circle K so I pulled in to ask where a decent hotel was to stay the night without getting robbed.
His reply:
“Bakersfield”
I see meth people
“Yeah, I can trade this train for a whole handful of meth… and maybe some feminine hygiene products and an EBT card or two.”
This is the 2000-pound tuna of the addict milieu.
If she knew how to push all the right buttons, she wouldn’t be homeless.
I’m afraid of heights

I remember when Victorville was a nice place to visit. Same as a lot of other SoCal towns that have been caught in the progtardation of America. Or Mexicanization by way of progtard regulation.
Roy Rogers is buried a few miles from there. Wasn’t such a shithole back then.
