Woman shocked over ‘water gun’ assault charge

CFP: A Simcoe woman is in disbelief after being charged with assault with a weapon for what she says was the act of spraying a person with water during a water gun fight.

Wendy Washik, 58, was named by police in a news release after a Labour Day weekend incident on Woodway Trail and has since been suspended from her job. MORE

  1. …if youre neighbor calls the police for a water gun fight…if the police respond…if the police make an arrest…and if all this is happening while Muslims murder downtown with impunity…then I dont think youre in a survivable situation and maybe need to move to Poland or Hungary…

  2. …in fairness though, these days Muzzies and Communists have been known to use water pistols in public for acid, piss, and semen attacks, so if it wasnt for the context maybe the concern wouldnt be off-base…

  3. Yes, this happened in southern Ontario.

We can blame Trudeau, but it goes far deeper than just this one “leader”.

We can’t carry guns (with a very few exceptions), and I guess this now covers even water guns.

    Sad, sad, sad.

None of us know the whole story, but unless this water gun actually hurt someone else, the charge is unbelievably over the top.

On or about November 15th, after they get through getting the vote count they need, that’s where this country will be.

  5. I think it was a fully automatic high capacity water gun. Also, it appears that many Canadians are now scared of everything. We should station guards at the northern border and shout “boo” to keep them from crossing.

(Apologies to the Canadians that frequent this site).

  6. I would LOVE to have these people who complain, arrest, convict, etc, over a harmless nothing burger – get into trouble of their own, and then beg me for help.
“Nope. Not gonna help you. ‘Cause if I do, you’ll just turn me into the authoritahs. You got yourself into this mess, you just go ahead and get yourself out of this mess by yourself.”

  7. @ Dan K — Duh. Please consider that whom we used to call Peace Officers we now call Law Enforcement Officers. The change was deliberate.

Also please consider that although it isn’t all of them who are officious, overbearing, abusive, and corrupt, those who aren’t so still willingly tolerate their thug colleagues.

  8. Eventually, everyone will have to decide when the line has been crossed and say “No, I won’t stand for this!”. I’d rather die fighting tyranny than live with a jackboot on my neck. Canadian police today are just modern-day Gestapo. Before I went to prison over something like this, the person most responsible for the injustice is going to die.

  9. This will be another episode of “the process is the punishment”. She will almost certainly be absolved of any wrongdoing….but only after being bankrupted by the legal process, lose her job and have her life utterly destroyed. Yet another instance proving our “legal” (sic) system is broken and corrupted beyond repair.

  10. Dan K, you’re right in many instances.
Our Police Chief came out of the crooked Massachusetts system and is now militarizing our dept and turning them into an arm of the crooked MA system.
