Of all the things to feel Jewish guilt about, we can now add “not killing Hitler.”
At least if you’re a woman.
According to a recent research paper that isn’t made up and actually got published — in something called the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin — women feel less comfortable killing the long-deceased Nazi leader in a time-travel thought experiment.
In the paper, which analyzed 40 studies involving 6,100 respondents, 60 percent of men were willing to kill Hitler, to 55 percent of women.
So do women hate killing in general more than men? Do they like mass murderers more? Or is it just because they don’t like any questions with science fiction in them? MORE
ROTFLMAO
And, I would dig him up and kill him again if I could.
A an avid WW II history researcher, I can say that we would have been better off stopping Hitler’s nastier activities in 1935 and joining with him to eliminate Stalin……If you are going by body count, Stalin was far worse!! Holomodor IMHO
Oh shit ! Yeah. Id beat him down with a skillet if I had to.
I am of the opinion that this and similar studies fall under the heading of what I would politely term “mental masturbation”.
Which would you choose, to go back to kill Hilter, or to go back and ‘save’ Jesus?
Silly boy…..
Jesus is the son of God. He died to save us. He knew what he was doing.
Add this to the question:
Would you do it if you knew you would be caught and put to death in a violent manner? Just to save a few million Jews and Gypsies?
Women are smart enough to go back a little farther and kill the mother of the motherfucker. No chance for a duplicate to be made.
I know, but many don’t. It’s sort of a trick question.
Whut?
Because the women don’t want to relive all those ‘times of the month’ again?
My answer to this question is no. Why? Because if someone competent had taken his place, then things would have turned out a whole lot worse than they did.
Oh, hell, no. I’d be first in line.
Actually, I’d go back and use my super power to make him tell the truth. Doh!
I’d use it now on Obolo but I broke it. My super power, that is. Dang. Didn’t know that were that fragile.
Ok, but there is one problem. Does everyone see that problem?
If I had a time machine I’d first stop at my X wife and slap her, then take out the trash. I’d smack some voters in 2008 on the way back. 2012 too, harder.
Or pay off an art school to take him in so he can push the crazy on his art work, and not on the planet?
As a frequent time traveler I have found the past can’t be changed, only observed. I try my best to concern myself with the present and the future.
Why is it always Hitler. We should try some modern names and see what people would do.
Is the study trying to suggest that women are more squeamish than men about killing in general? If so, I sure hope that doesn’t hold true for our fine women in uniform.
I once tried to concern myself with
the present, but I had to quit because
it kept turning into the past quicker than I could focus on it.
Better yet, while it’s not too late, let’s actually kill the guy NOW that’s going to screw things up worse than Hitler
in the future. The one that’s going to cause World War III and devastate
the planet. You know, that guy that…
Oh, wait –
The question people would be asking in our future is if they would remove the Marxist in Chief or the Communist/anti-Christ Pope if they only were informed.
The answer would be ‘no’. It wouldn’t be for lack of evidence, though.
The truth is that we are all cowards in the face of evil – that is why evil dominates.
Y’know why tyrants come up to exist in the first place? Because people themselves have failed or don’t know how to rule their own domain. Sin tarnishes our rulership.
For if we had the capacity to on a mass scale, tyrants would have no power. But in our human nature, we want tyrants to rule. This will become increasingly apparent as the younger generations have no real knowledge on how to do anything. Tech is replacing individual character development. Hitler eventually became intoxicated with the evil one.
If Jesus knew what he was doing, why would he ask his father why he had forsaken him?
This was, I am certain, a government, tax payer funded study which had no purpose other than lining the pockets of government grubs.
I agree. The whole thing sounds like a setup to me.
I think the carpenter got framed.
I still call it mental masturbation.
🙂
