Glenn Youngkin, a former CEO and Christian conservative who campaigned as a political outsider, on Monday night secured the Republican nomination for Virginia governor and will face off against Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the November election.
Youngkin formally declared victory after fellow businessman Pete Snyder conceded after a day of ballot counting that began with five top GOP challengers before being whittled down. read more
Who’s refereeing the election? Hopefully Putin. I trust him.
The one thing we’ve learned here in Virginia is that any Republican who campaigns as an “outsider” will get screwed by… wait for it… the Virginia republican party. For the past 16 years the republican party in Virginia has worked harder to ensure the victory of democrats than they have worked to promote any Republican. And the national committee is as bad or worse. It would appear that the parties merged years ago and have worked tirelessly to ensure the bluing of Virginia.

Don’t forget to hog-tie and gag Bitch McConnell and stow him in a trunk in a dark cellar until election is over.
“Virginians have made it clear that they are ready for a political outsider with proven business experience to bring real change in Richmond.”
Well yeah we’re ready, but apparently our GOP Overlords decided not to have a real primary. I suppose they feel (like another party we are familiar with) that they know better than we do who we should vote for in the election.
Expect run of the mill results in a run of the mill election that forces anyone not selected by elitist convention to run as an independent, thus destroying the chances for a Republican win against Terry McCrook, a long standing Clinton pal.
Youngkin has been rumored to be a 2A supporter but did not answer the VCDL survey on his stance. Big deal, another RINO. 😵
At some point the grass roots Virginians need to do something about this crap.
The so called primary boiled down to 7 candidates for Governor listed on a card where you were supposed to choose you first, second, third, fourth, etc. choice.
You were warned that if you circled two candidates by accident under the same “choice” you ballot would be invalid. What the insiders kept to themselves was the fact that there was nothing wrong with circling 1-7 for the same candidate. Thus, the ones that were in on that little tidbit from the beginning won it.
