YouTuber faces 10 years in federal prison for stunt involving a helicopter shooting fireworks at a Lamborghini

A YouTuber’s planned pyrotechnic stunt captured on video has landed him in hot water facing federal charges.

The 2023 social media stunt involving fireworks being shot out of a helicopter at a Lamborghini earned Suk Min Choi, known as Alex Choi online, charges for the placement of an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft.

A federal criminal affidavit was filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California due to Choi’s video titled, “Destroying a Lamborghini With Fireworks,” which he posted last July. It has since been taken down. more

  1. I’m not saying it’s necessarily a good thing that anyone can’t just blast off fireworks how they choose in a free country, but if anyone is going to do time for it at least it happened to a deserving person.
