Obama’s War Advisors Turn on Him

Barack Obama remains a fortunate president, insofar as the press is still invested in his success. Or, at least, in muting outrage over his failures. Any other American president who, while prosecuting an unpopular war, saw a series of critical national security advisors resign would probably generate some rather unfavorable coverage.

On September 22, Barack Obama’s hand-selected advisor coordinating global efforts to combat the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, retired General John Allen, announced his intention to resign the post. Within a week, Evelyn Farkas, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia, also handed in her resignation. Given the ongoing wars in Europe and the Middle East into which the West is increasingly committing resources, these resignations are alarming.

  1. Any constitutional scholars here? I’d like to know if there is anything in law that allows military leaders to rat out the president for treason. If so, why didn’t we hear from these advisers before they retired. Do they have an obligation to the congress to make known these things?

  2. It wouldn’t matter if top military leaders provided documented proof of Obama’s treasonous acts, complete with documents, audio, and video footage.

The Congress wouldn’t do a thing. And not enough citizens would raise up demanding they do something.

The only way something would be done is if there were simultaneous attacks in several cities on the same day that killed thousands of people, and in the aftermath the evidence was pushed hard in the news to link Obama’s acts to enabling the attacks. 3. It is alarming because these were two good people who knew their jobs and were frustrated by the Administration’s ongoing efforts to prevent them from doing what they knew needed to be done.

It is alarming because there is likely nobody willing to step in and replace them, so these two posts will either go unfilled, or be absorbed by the “National Security Team” which means Susan Rice or Ben Rhodes.

It is alarming because it is further proof of how increasingly politically polarized this Administration is, with the only goal in mind being to preserve Obama’s post-presidency reputation.

Other than that, its all just fucking peachy.

  4. It’s like he’s saying “C’mon, why don’t you believe in me?”
I think God is using this man for us to see (no matter what a person’s IQ is) what a vaccuum looks like.
