1,000 Gold Medals (But Who’s Counting, Anyway?)

With a win in the women’s 4×100 meter swim, medal counters are declaring that the United States won its 1,000 gold medal in the era of the modern Olympics.  The next nearest nation is Russia with 395 (and not expected to be pulling many in this year) and in third place is Great Britain at 236 gold medals.

However, some experts disagree with the count and have declared the women swimmers reached the 999 gold medal mark.

  1. Why the Firetruck are we even allowed to be in the same firetrucking firetrucking country with these people we have oppressed for about 100 firetrucking years?

Line anybody who claims to be American up and crucify or shoot them on the spot. Holy Truck how can we expect people to put up with this shit

  2. Enjoyed seeing the bikini clad babes doing “beach volleyball”, but have to wonder why this would be an Olympic Event. Can see the day when the Olympics devolve into a pornographic orgy.

  3. The Olympics are a good diversion for kids that are bored with Pokemon Go.
Originally intended as a display of amateur athletics, it has devolved into another made for TV reality show.

  4. Never would have gotten there without those two golds from America’s corps of intrepid judo competitors. Right Furskie? Did you see those 2 golds from judo, huh? Didja?

    Go Judo
