Authorities in Texas are searching for a 15-year-old boy who walked away from the nation’s largest children’s immigration center, police said Monday.
Det. J.J. Trevino of the Brownsville Police Department told ABC affiliate KRGV that officers were called to the center in Brownsville on Saturday after the boy was reported missing from the Southwest Key Casa Padre location.
A spokesman for Southwest Key, which runs several facilities along the U.S.-Mexico border, said the Brownsville facility in a converted Walmart store is not a detention center and employees there cannot prevent children from leaving if they wish.
“As a licensed child care center, if a child attempts to leave any of our facilities, we cannot restrain them,” Jeff Eller, a spokesman for Southwest Key, told ABC News. “We are not a detention center. We talk to them and try to get them to stay. If they leave the property, we call law enforcement.”
Neither caretakers nor authorities released the boy’s identity but his information was entered into the missing children’s database.
A source familiar with the case told ABC News the boy arrived at the shelter 36 days after he was caught crossing the border on his own.
A man reached out to officials at the center claiming to be the boy’s father, the source said. But a DNA test showed the man was not the boy’s biological parent, the source said.
After the teenager left the facility, the man called the center again to inform officials that he had heard from the boy, who was alive and well and making his way back to Honduras, where he’s apparently from.
If true, that’s a great ending. Now toss that liar out of the country.

This company has been given 458 million so far this year to care for (23,000 over two years, unsure how many at a given time) illegals at 26 centers. That’s roughly 17.5 million for every 885 illegals. Every entity profiting from these invaders needs to be investigated.
Years ago, I had to go to the Social Sekuurdy office because my last name was misspelled. So I needed to get a new card with spelling corrected. There I am in a line, like those at an amusement park, when suddenly I hear a young Mexican fool, hair covered in Tres Flores, tattoos everywhere, wearing a baggy white T shirt, cut off Chinos plus tube socks up to his knees (Ay! Que sexy, no?) just erupting in cussing and white bitch this and fuck you… The woman helping him at the window (It was bullet proof, I noticed) told him that she needed his birth certificate in order for her to process a SS card. He said he didn’t have it and that he was here all his life (uh huh) blah blah blah, all the signs of a “Dreamer”, right? So she gave him options on what to do. He was still yelling. He asked how long it would take to investigate him to get his SS card. She said up to 4 years. LOL. He hit the roof. ( I then realized the need for the bullet proof glass)
To her credit, the woman was calm, stone faced, never blinked, very by the book. Good for her.
Look at what happens when these people crowd all systems. Nothing gets done in a reasonable time, if ever!

REALLY??? If the daycare center I paid to watch my daughter 20 years ago ever said that to me after my daughter walked away, I would be in prison because I would have to kill every last caregiver in that building for not knowing how to do their friggin job!
