(CNSNews.com) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the El Paso port of entry seized 88.6 pounds of marijuana last Thursday — in just one car.
That drug bust was one of 21 seizures made during the seven-day period ending at midnight on Nov. 16. In that single week in the El Paso area, officers seized a total of 1,638 pounds of marijuana in 16 drug busts — and 37.5 pounds of cocaine in another five drug busts.
The 88.6-pound marijuana seizure happened last Thursday night when a 2000 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 33-year-old Mexican citizen, entered the Ysleta international crossing from Mexico. read more

WHAT IS THE INFATUATION WITH DRUGS ANYWAY?
I haven’t tried them all, but the few casual house party drugs I was given make me sick. Cigarette smoke makes me sick, and alcohol makes me vomit.
Can someone share what is so magical about this stuff?
You could park a couple of TONS of illegal drugs outside my house, and it would rot in the rain before I ever got around to shoveling it down the sewer.
The point of drugs is to escape the absurdities of life through the absurdity of being narcotized (this diatribe includes alcohol). Drugs allow the stupid to be profound; the ignorant to be informed; the weak to be strong; the cowardly to be brave. Drugs can even conquer that most powerful of motivators: sex.
