Sadly, at the rate the dems are going I’m not sure Western Civ let alone our Republic has a shelve life of more than 50 years.
I worked with a guy who was astonished that anyone would vote against Obama. When I drilled down to determine what his rationale was… he couldn’t believe there were people who would pass on the opportunity to be part of history by voting for the first black President.
That is the kind of moron the country is infested with. But then again both McCain or Romney would have been just as bad as Obama, if not worse.

…I’d be good with neck stretching or firing squads, too, although a good old Roman gladiatorial match between two puffy, severely out-of-shape Democrats would have its entertainment value as well, provided the rules were that they both died at the end regardless, but MUCH more painfully if they didn’t put on a good show…

I did not say the Republic was mine because it is ours. I’m a cosmo in the sense that I don’t give a rats tail where you were born or what your native language happens to be but if you came to America in particular or any Western Nation in General and learn your hosts language and embrace Western Ideals then there is room for you and to spare.
If you were born in the West but blame the West for everything wrong I think all parties would be better off if you leave post haste. There is room and to spare in Africa, the Far or Middle East for such. I don’t care where you go as long as you go. By “The West” I mean the tradition of Roman Law, Greek Philosophy and Judaeo/Christian values; it has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with culture.
It breaks my heart to think there is a possibility our Republic won’t be around for my grandchildren. Just because lights of Western Civ are going out does not mean I have to like it.
