The way her face lit up when she finally recognized him was amazing. I bet she died peacefully and content knowing her friend still cared.

That reminds me…Atlanta may soon elect a mayor named Ceasar [sic]. Either him or Ms. Lance Butts.
If you watch this and do not feel a tear well up, you are not human or a chimp!
I expected Trump to be the visitor.
I made that flippant remark before I saw the video. This is very sad and touching.
Yep, Billy Fuster…
#metoo
Very touching video.
But when I first saw the thread title, I thought AIDS finally caught up with Al Sharpton.
Ladies, please excuse us guys. We get all tough and snarky when we get something stuck in our eyes.
Naah. I’m not gonna click. I am fresh out of kleenex… The still shot is good enough.
Wow. 59 years old. Amazing.
That’s sweet! My 98 year old grandmother was no chimp. But in her last months, full on dementia among every other conceivable ailment, she would light up similarly when we visited. I will take a long walk off a short pier before following her lead.
A sad yet happy story if yet for only a few minutes. I hate seeing an animal suffer.
Darn, I just put make up on–worth it though to see that. Thanks for posting it, BFH.
Very sweet. Brought tears to my eyes. A chromosome away and so human like.
So sweet. It break my heart.
Oh geez, I have been crying for 3 days straight due to Mr. RottyLover taking a turn for the worse and now this. What a heart wrenching video.
RottyLover, prayers for your honey. And for your strength.
I almost didn’t click because I can’t stand sad critter or children stories. So glad I watched. Still cried, but what a joy for that Mama to feel the friendship at her end.
I didn’t think there were any tears left after the Rainbow Bridge and National Anthem posts from yesterday. Guess my tear ducts recharged overnight.
Reminds me of the Reader’s Digest segment from many years ago about an old dude in the hospital at the end of life before he died saw his old bird hunting buddy who had died walk into his room with his dog. Nothing that has lived ever dies.
We don’t deserve the love and affection animals show/give us – yet God in his mercy knew we need them to show us we’re not alone in the world.
Hand me another tissue – this is the 3rd time this week you guys!
I hope my kids will come and comfort me like that when I’m reaching the end. That was beautiful. Sad, painful, but beautiful.
CAUGHT ON FILM
1st German to show compassion for another human being. Good find!
Dutch
Rottylover – prayers for you and Mr. Rottylover.
I’m sorry. I love my dog. I love everyones’ dog, for that matter. But this just didn’t move me at all. It’s a bloody chimp, for Gods’ sake. A chimp that looks like a 175 pound raisin.
God loves all his creatures
He made them and eventually He will call them home. I know my beloved furry-four-foots are waiting for me. I look forward to seeing them again.
@Half-Assed-Patriot: Germans are people, too, and not all of them were/are Nazis.
Just sayin’.
