8 States Affirm Only Citizens May Vote

As divided as America may be, this election showed there’s one thing most Americans agree on: Only U.S. citizens should vote in U.S. elections. 

Voters this week in eight states — Idaho, Iowa, KentuckyMissouri, North CarolinaOklahoma, South Carolina, and Wisconsin — overwhelmingly approved constitutional amendment ballot questions seeking to ensure noncitizens cannot vote in state and local elections. Foreign nationals are already barred from voting in federal elections. More

  1. I’d like to see an amendment to the fed law banning non-citizen voting. That would be to add that anyone convicted under STATE law that bans non-citizens be deported and placed on permanent list barring re-entry to the U.S. even for tourism, and especially for anything “family” oriented.
